Brian Miller joined Lenawee Community Ambulance as an EMT in 2014. Throughout his 10 years with our organization, he has moved up through the ranks, serving as an AEMT and paramedic and earning a promotion to Senior Paramedic in 2021. Brian’s experience working in BLS underscores the notion that a paramedic’s clinical excellence is rooted in a solid foundation as an EMT.

Brian is widely recognized for his unwavering dedication to skilled and compassionate patient care. His reputation with all who know him is that of a highly professional and dedicated paramedic with a solid commitment to prehospital care. Brian is known for being an active learner and an advocate for continued learning. In his spare time, he enjoys reading medical journals that go beyond the typical paramedic scope, which once helped him accurately diagnose takotsubo cardiomyopathy in the field.

Brian’s passion for learning leads him to mentor students and less experienced personnel, helping to teach and shape future EMS providers. He is known for providing valuable guidance to new employees, understanding that an EMS practitioner’s first partners play a crucial role in shaping their professional development. His teaching efforts are especially impactful when working with EMTs enrolled in paramedic courses, where his hands-on approach and expertise are known to make a difference for students. Numerous students have expressed that Brian’s mentorship was instrumental in their success and ability to excel in their studies.

When not at work, Brian enjoys home-brewing wine, mead, and beer. He loves time with his family, Elyse and Dean, who support him and always keep him going.
