Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP)

Hybrid course. Online learning and an in-person practical day.

PEPP represents a complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed to teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.

PEPP is a very comprehensive, innovative, and highly visual course featuring case-based lectures, live-action videos, hands-on skills stations, and small group scenarios.

Course Details

  • A complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children.
  • PEPP is available as a hybrid course (a combination of online learning followed by hands-on practice in the classroom) for both ALS and BLS.
    • Note: the online coursework must be completed before attending the practical day.
    • Students should arrive 15 minutes early to the in-person practical.
Cost and Payment

Cost: $150.00

All course costs are due at the time of registration.

If needed, registration and payment can be done in person. Please call to schedule an appointment.

NOTE: If, due to unforeseen circumstances, this course is canceled before the class date, the cost of the course will be refunded.

Instructions and Course Key
  • After signing up for the course, students will be emailed a code for the online portion.
    • The code provides access to the online course and a digital version of the PEPP course manual.
      • The code will be sent approximately 10 to 14 days before the practical date.
      • The code will be emailed to the email address you used to register.
      • The code will be emailed from an Emergent Health Partners email address.
  • After receiving the code, students will complete the online portion.
    • Online coursework must be completed before attending the in-person session.  
  • Students must bring a printed course completion certificate to the in-person session.
ALS & BLS

The hybrid course combines online learning with hands-on practice in the classroom.

Instead of attending a two-day traditional on-site course, students learn a portion of the course through self-directed online modules.

After completing all of the online modules, students attend a one-day on-site course to complete hands-on practice, instructor interaction, and the final examination.

Dates & Registration

Course seats are first-come, first-served.

Registration closes two weeks before the start of the course or when the enrollment reaches capacity.
