Description
The Anatomy & Physiology for Paramedics course is specifically designed to introduce the fundamental terminology, structure and function of the human body. The main emphasis of this course will focus on the major organ systems and their association with health and disease. In addition, students will gain a basic understanding of pathophysiology and the disease process as it applies to pre-hospital emergency care.
This course is specifically designed for students who are pursuing the advanced level Paramedic training through Huron Valley Ambulance’s EMS Education and may be taken as a co-hort with the Basic EMT program.
All students filing for application for the Fall or Winter Paramedic course, will be required to successfully complete this course with a 2.0 grade of C or higher.
